Delicious and best cakes ever. Yummy frosting and filling. I love that butter cream. I really enjoyed the doberge with vanilla and my family loved the chocolate filled. And they did a lovely job on the graduation cake that I ordered at the last minute. We will be getting cakes from there and the best cookies and cupcakes.
Walk in and pick your cake, let me warn you tho they have many delicious types to choose from. I love the taste of anything out of this bakery, I have been inlove with the food here for a long time. No matter what you get it tastes fresh, never dry. Icing is soft not to sweet or to hard, just right. Each bite making your taste buds go wild. So yum yummy. I got the king cake cake balls, lemon deberge cake square, German Chocolate cake square, Chocolate Petit four, All of them where just right. You can stop in and get all kinds of different cakes or cookies. Or make an order for a cake, they do so many different types of cakes. Good customer service, friendly and fast. We got the German chocolate cake and the brownie cake and words can't describe how amazing they were. I'd get both of them again in a heart beat. My next purchase with be the red velvet for sure!
This is the best bakery I’ve experienced in my life, hands down. When I lived in Lafayette, I would go frequently for their chocolate chunk cookie. I have yet to find a cookie that even comes close. Their frosting is also amazing and they offer different flavors. Finally, their cakes are always moist and full of flavor. Do yourself a favor and try those cookies, I miss them!
I've been eating Gambinos since I was a little girl and here I am now 53, and baaabbby the King cake and Chocolate Doberge have always been my favorite. I am living in Texas since Hurricane Katrina, I order them online and ship them to my son who lives in California because he was 7 at the time that we left. I try to drive to Lafayette and it has become difficult because of my disability. I will continue to order from my favorite place since both myself and my son are far away to keep the taste of Louisiana going. Went to pick my cake up the day before Thanksgiving,it was looking so good,me and my babygirl had to get 2 cupcakes to hold us up until the Special day,a chocolate one and a wedding cake one! I love their cakes! My go to birthday cake is their White Almond Cake with Buttercream icing and Strawberry Filling. The flavor combination is a great balance between the slight tartness of the strawberry filling and the sweet silky buttercream. The almond “classic wedding” flavored cake brings it all together. Yummy😋
